You have likely felt it before --- the sense that certain colors make you disappear, while others make you more fully yourself. Not more polished or more dressed up. Simply more recognizably you.
That feeling is not imaginary, and it is not a matter of preference. It is recognition. Your palette has always existed in precise relationship with your coloring, and it has been waiting for you to find it.
One session. One palette. Uniquely yours.

I learned to see color at eight years old, sitting beside my grandfather. There was such a delight in the pursuit of color at that age.
And then, for a season, I set it aside. Not because I doubted it, but because there are seasons of life in which the energy for beauty and creativity feel like a luxury one cannot afford. I know what it is like to live in grey not by choice, but by circumstance.
Color analysis is the process of identifying the specific palette that exists in natural harmony with your coloring --- the colors that reflect who you already are, rather than who you might become.
Where traditional four-season color analysis divides people into four broad tonal categories, the TCI method works across twelve, which means your neutrals are genuinely yours. Not an approximation, and not the closest available option. The actual palette that belongs to you.

He was an award-winning watercolor artist ---- the kind of painter who could render the specific quality of light on a glass of water, the precise way shadow falls across a petal, the exact hue of a reflection that most people would simply call grey. He didn't see grey, he saw in swathes of color. I grew up beside that way of seeing, and then when to art school where it became a formal discipline. A background in Sacred and Studio art illuminated my later discovery of personal color analysis. I recognized in TCI true color theory and application as the artistic masters utilized it.

He did not stop painting. When the war ended, he gave the Water Lilies to France ---- an offering of color and peace, made precisely because the world had been so grey.
A dear friend received a difficult medical diagnosis, and in the middle of that hard season, she had her colors done. What she described afterwards went beyond seasons, wardrobe, and makeup. The experience struck the at the heart of dignity for the whole person.
